Water Shows!

Last week was a brilliant week of water and music for us!

We played at the Patagonia Store in Santa Monica last thursday for an event to support Bureo Skateboards, Surfrider Foundation, and a bunch of other awesome orgs including Boarding for Breast Cancer!

Bureo Skateboards is an incredibly cool company that converts used fishermen’s nets (that are tossed into the ocean and not recycled) into awesome skateboards!!

It is so inspiring to see real change in action. They are shaping the way fisherman relate to their nets, the way consumers relate to their products, and the way humans relate to plastic!

I am a proud owner of a Bureo board and it is the smoothest ride i’ve ever been on! Check them out and get a board!

Last Saturday was International Coastal Clean Up Day!!! We were asked by LA Waterkeeper to play some songs via a solar DJ station for people while they picked up trash and hung out on the beach! We had such an awesome time!

Playing a show on the beach might be my favorite venue of all time. My second favorite venue, Fais Do-Do, will be where we release my new EP, The Water Garden and LA Waterkeeper will be helping us present the show and launch a new drought awareness campaign.

Check out LA Waterkeeper and get involved with them! If you live in LA, they do all sorts of volunteer projects and activities including a Boat Watch trip around the South Bay and Water Quality testing in the LA River!
