Tour Night 8: So Cal Double Doozie! – June 30

We played two shows this lovely Saturday evening in Southern California!

First, we played a gig at a new art gallery in San Pedro, House 1002. This was a special stop on the tour because I was raised in San Pedro and I will always have a happy place in my heart for this rough-cut but cute little port town. The art shop is adorable! I was asked by one of the artists and long-time family friend, Larry Lubow, to play. It was a wonderful evening of music, friends, and art! After we played for a little over an hour, we packed up and booked it to a party in Van Nuys!

This was not just any party: It was a birthday/remodel celbratory extravaganza for Fonogenic Studios, where I recorded my EP, It Is and It Isn’t!

It was an epic night! Bitch, an all-star cover band, including Rami Jaffee (Wallflowers, Foo Fighters, Sound City Players), Jonny Kaplan (Jonny Kaplan and the Lazy Stars), Jessy Greene (Foo Fighters, Sound City Players, Pink), Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam), and Christopher Thorn (Blind Melon), plus special guests like Brad Smith from Blind Melon singing “No Rain”. We ended up playing after Bitch and kept the music going!
