thursday, thursday
so by the time I am writing this, it is actually Friday early morning but still, what a Thursday!
recap!
I was asked to play a show for the mayor of davis’ birthday party THIS weekend, studied a ridiculous amount of fluid mechanics for this midterm tomorrow (err, today), suffered through my computer programming lab that is 50 min and makes me kinda twitch because time presses in on me like being under 10 feet of water, sat outside with my crazy but incredibly cute cats while I worked on homework for my field methods hydrology class, and went to the grocery store! whew!
so the important part of all that, really, is the mayor’s party! I never quite realized how much I wanted to play music for a mayor. I think the title has a nice ring to it. it always makes me think of the mayor from whoville in Horton Hears a Who. he was a really great mayor. he listened to the giant elephant in the sky to save his speck of dust. so badass. I hope all leaders would be willing to listen to the elephants in the sky. maybe I’ll ask the mayor or davis….(or not.) either way I’m stoked.
but life is circumstantial like that. . that is my lesson for the day. plans are simply that, plans. just lightly pencil drawn steps for how the day or coming days may go. elephants in the sky could be trying to save your world and you gotta roll with it. bumps and all. it’s exhausting. rolling down these hills. seems about right from what i remember rolling down real hills can be.
