L.A. Homies – Thick as Thieves

Yo yo yo!

As some of you may know, I am currently living in LA. I miss Davis a lot, but one of the things I love about L.A. is my super awesome crew of homies who are music makers! I have been able to go to some awesome shows and and I want to share their awesomeness with you! Because yay for good music!

So for the next few weeks, I am going to post about some of my favorite L.A. music folks every few days! So keep checking back for more cool things my wonderful L.A. homies are doing!

First up …

Thick As Thieves

You wanna see a real rock show? How about a rock show that also has sibling harmonies, badass musicians, and tight raps? Boom. Thick as Thieves. My lovely friend Sunday Lane plays keyboards and sings, rocking harmonies with her brother, Maxim Rainer (who also plays guitar), and dope back-and-forth sing-raps with rapper Nick Richey. The genre-bending nature of the band structure is, well, pretty fresh. I especially love how into it drummer Jesse Dixon gets. He really brings it every time.

Really, they all bring it every time, and by bring it, I mean that they are all incredibly talented and professional musicians, and you can tell! Their shows are full of energy from the first note. They play and tour a lot, so if you get the chance, definitely go to one of their upcoming shows! Oh, and they have great (and hilarious) music videos, which are definitely worth watching (especially the video for Dangerous, which is a great song as well). Check out their Facebook page here.
