poetry bus + surprise acapella

this past weekend i helped my sister produce a super cool poetry event with Write Bloody. Write Bloody is a rad publishing company that makes books of some of the best poets in the nation! The poetry bus a double-decker bus that drives around and stops at different locations to have a miniature poetry reading. This poetry bus had a stellar line-up of poets: Derrick Brown, Anis Mojgani, Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz, Jeremy Radin, and Amber Tamblyn.

I was super surprised and stoked when Derrick came up to me on the bus and asked if I wanted to perform a song at the second poetry reading stop. Of course I would.

So my sister and I sang my song, Seems Worth It, acapella at the top of the Sky Room overlooking all of the city and port of Long Beach. It was magical and we were honored to share the rooftop stage with these incredible poets.

It was been some wild times these days!
