Tour Night 7: Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural & Bookstore – Sylmar, CA

We played at Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural & Bookstore in Sylmar! It was super great and they were amazingly supportive and took this picture!

What’s up everybody! It’s Miguel here and I wanted to give a shout out to Alicia Murphy! Their band has been performing in open mic’s across the entire west coast. They’re amazing and gave a stellar performance here at Tia Chucha’s. They even supported our bookstore by buying “Taco USA” by Gustavo Arellano! Of all of the open mics we had been to so far, this open mic felt the most open. People shared from their heart and the audience accepted all the sharing graciously and warmly. Plus, magicians performed at the end! They asked me to be one of the volunteers for their last trick: Four of us lifted someone up with our pointer fingers! I’m still not sure how that happened!

If you ever get a chance, you should for sure check this place out. It is an environment of love and knowledge, a true community gathering place for creativity! Woot!
